The Human Capital Category

The Application Process

There are three essential steps one should consider whenever you apply for the Permanent Residency in Ontario.

  1. See to that you qualify- Once you have selected the category under which you wish to apply, see to that you fulfill all the necessary criteria for that particular stream.
  2. Apply to get nominated by the Government of Ontario - You need to apply online, via the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program e-Filing Portal, once you select your stream. It takes nearly two hours or three hours for completion of the application. The cost of application for the employer job and the human capital categories are $1,500 or $2,000. The cost of application for the business streams is $3,500, according to the business partner or the key employee. 
  3. Apply for the Permanent Residency in Canadian Government- One the application is accepted and if the Government of Ontario nominates you, then further step is to apply to the IRCC for the permanent residency. The Government makes the final choice on who would become the permanent resident of Canada.
